this is a brilliant piece, having read it again now, a month after the election, it is clear that hirsi ali was prescient in her prediction that of the 2 alternative paths for the party if they lost they were likely to choose the worst one has become reality. unfortunately many of trump's cabinet picks look somewhat problematic but that may just be a function of my inability to establish the truth about them from a media that is dominated by the left.
