Yes, they have finally stepped up to the plate! I believe Governor Abbott deserves much of the credit by his implacable will and immensely successful bussing of illegals to other states. There was no way for the MSM to avoid covering that. It made the outrage of Biden’s action in inviting them here visible. One man can make all the difference!

I'm positive about your articles, but one remark here: you write "the GOP has never previously regarded America’s border security as taking precedence over foreign conflicts" and you call this the first of three "positive aspects" of the GOP change. But in this paragraph, foreign conflicts is specifically about Ukraine, for which many European countries have give more than the US *relatively* speaking (comparing GDP) and the outcome of which is extremely important for the entire West, as you know as well as I do. I would have been slightly more cautious calling this a positive aspect. Although I do understand what you mean (it definitely IS necessary to put the house in order for the US, and playing this quid pro quo was smart) - but it was also cynical to say the least. The GOP could have made better choices, yet they too are, just like the Democrats, not really doing much effort to at least aim at something more bipartisan. Both make poor choices and often use poor arguments.
