Another great piece. Your reservations about Nigel Farage are mine as well. He seems to draw back from policies that would make a difference to people in the UK and Europe. He pushed Brexit and should have been part of implementing it.
I liked Matt Goodwin's speech and his movie.
British "values " -I hate that work are relative humanistic "values". The real Britain is Christian and bible base virtues from the old and new testament. Virtues of respect for human life from conception to old age and worshipping God in Christ as our creator and Saviour.
My country is at the beginning of a policy of mass legal migration of the same people who have failed already to assimilate and have been out on the streets supporting terrorists. Now the morons in charge want o bring in more. We are gradually developing all the problems the rest of the west has.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I do though have sympathy for Farage who is obviously worn out by the bombardment from the mainstream left. It would be good to assert an optimistic and inclusive view of national identity, but that only works if the majority has the confidence of its own identity and newcomers are willing to sacrifice a part of their own identity. That would though require a serious collective effort, which is unlikely to happen. However a serious political party could at least try to make an argument.
