Who better than Ayaan to explain these complexities to us — what the organizations stand for, what their histories are, how far they have infiltrated using which tactics. If the Brotherhood’s long game is not compatible with western pluralistic values, then their presence politically should be proscribed. This is a must read!

"Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope."

So, I'm no epistemologically expert, philosophy PhD, or anything like that. Descartes gave me a headache. I remember that.

Anyway, with that as a disclaimer, I'd say wanting to die for your God thing is a pretty F-ing scary idea. I'm not a fan of *any* religion, they all seem pretty unhealthy to me from an easy to follow, guided by reason and reality standard, but I'm fine with deviation with the usual caveat that you don't try to kill the non-believer. And I've noticed Islam sort of tip toes up to that line with alarming frequency, and everytime I learn more it just seems more frightening. And this is the more peaceful, non-violent, variant?

So anyone want to answer a question, are there any branches of Islam that explicitly outlaw violence, except in cases of self defense?

Not that I know of. Even Sufis. Izz ed din Al Qassam was a Sufi. But there are many Sunnis and Shiites, and Sufis who want peaceful coexistence. We need to support and empower them instead of their maniacal correligioniss.

I'm a student of history and I recall the Muslim Brotherhood aligning with the Nazis during WWII. I studied their organization through the years as I'm considerable older than you so I've been aware of their radical pursuits for many years.

I so appreciate your unveiling of a truly evil movement motivated by POWER..... I know, SHOCKING!!!!

Thank you. Great background with tactical Islamist moves by MB but there is a broader historical strategy too - I understand straight out of the Quoran and Hadiths. Could you elaborate on the broader strategy of Islamist conquest through "creeping Islamism" (first tolerance until +/-20% population, then legalized institutions to allow "self-defense" (where UK/Kier is heading now), then Sharia imposed after majority control). How does the Brotherhood fit into that broader plan? A rhetorical question we know the answer too, but new UK policy makers appear blinded by their desire for political power over the Tories to see the bigger strategy of conquest.

Thank you for your work. This article is very helpful in understanding what is going on in the world. I am just about finished reading Raymon Ibrahim's book Sword and Scimitar, which outlines many of the battles of Islamic conquest of the Christian world. Modern history has long decried the Crusades (find a Christian school anymore whose mascot is the Crusader) as bloody and unnecessary. Few know that those battles were fought to undo the previous conquest of Christian strongholds and subjugation of all who survived the battles. That has always been the sticking point with me in weighing Islam against Christianity. Islam wants to make converts at the edge of a sword; all who resist will become their subjects. Christianity strives to make converts by persuasion of the heart, understanding that the life we can live is our own. Christ understands that a forced conversion is not genuine, and His mission was never political.
