Why is there total silence from the British Muslim community over the sex trafficking of young girls by mostly Pakistani Muslim men? It would appear that Muslims are just as afraid of speaking out on this moral depravity as are British politicians. Thanks to Aayan, Douglas Murray and Elon Musk for pointing out the obvious truth about the dangers to society that Islam poses. One would hope that others will step up to take a stand or the Britain of Nelson and Churchill will be doomed.

My initial education of Islam came through following Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch. This education started in 2007. His knowledge helped me understand what I saw happening across the world, and I have always felt both lucky and grateful that I stumbled upon his writings.

I was wondering if others are familiar with his work and would also recommend it.

Herbert Marcuse provides the playbook for attacking the West from within: use the West’s disposition towards liberal tolerance against itself.

Marcuse: “Liberating tolerance, then, would mean intolerance against movements from the Right, and toleration of movements from the Left."

To call radical islamist forces “Left” is off the mark, but the playbook still plays, and so if a concern about radical islamist practice comes from “the Right,” then we don't have to tolerate it. We can be “intolerant” revolutionaries.

Tolerance according to Marcuse is about the selective use of power. "Tolerance is de facto and de jure selective according to the interests of the ruling powers of society.”

If tolerance is purely about power rather than a liberal disposition, then it can be turned against its own interests.

Given where Great Britain is today, I'm curious what suggestions Ayaan and readers have for Great Britain. What are their options? There are undoubtedly solutions to the Islamic kneecapping of the British people, but no simple ones that I see. Any suggestions anyone?

If we are to coexist with Muslims then the West needs to uphold its own laws to start with. No polygamy (certainly no state benefits for additional wives), no Sharia courts. They abide by and are judged by English Common Law like the rest of us. Learn the host countries language which is only polite and would rapidly breakdown cultural differences. No face coverings in public (that should apply to the general population as well). No Halal as it’s a cruel and horrible way to kill an animal. (I would apply that to Kosher meat as well. Jews would have to sacrifice this for a non halal law to be viable) . In other words completely reverse multiculturalism. I think this would be a start. Then we have to have an open and honest conversation about radical Islam and stress we are not prepared to live with it in our midst. If some Muslims are not happy with that then they must go and live in an Islamic country..I can’t see any of these changes likely to happen in the near future in the U.K., but as I said, Trump might go for something along these lines.

The idea of reaffirming and, really, insisting on the pre-eminence of our own cultural values makes sense. After all, if you live in a Muslim country (I have) you have to abide by their rules with respect to things like dress, food, drinking and sometimes even religion.

In the U.S., there’s probably time for this, but our litigious left will fight it every step of the way.

As for the U.K., it may be too late. Absent some sort of repatriation effort on a broad scale, Britain could easily become an Islamic state by 2100. Less likely but possible is some kind of successful co-exist leader as you suggested, or some kind of disruption within Islam that Balkanizes their efforts to control the U.K.

I have thought long and hard about the danger we face in the West. It seems to me that the only way out is to open up honest and public debate with the followers of Islam. Reveal the ideology clearly for what it is. Discuss all the taboos that we’ve swept under the carpet for so long. In the old days the BBC and CH4 would have made thorough and honest exposes of mosques, rape gangs and the motivation for the appalling terrorism we’ve witnessed over the last 25 years or more. But those days are long gone. The good news is that Trump is well aware and very knowledgeable about the threat of radical Islam. Maybe, like so many other problems he has set about solving he will get the ball rolling to confront Islam. It’s time for courage. As Ayaan so perfectly put it, ‘tolerance of intolerance is cowardice…’

I like your suggestions. Such a discussion would have to be led by influential leaders - politicians, musicians, artists, cultural icons. I’m not sure they’re there yet.

There’s another challenge. Islam is a very absolutist religion. It’s a “my way or the highway (sword actually)” approach. It’s not a “co-exist” mindset.

"One problem is that almost no non-Muslims, and quite probably a large number of those who self-identify as “Muslim”, read this book. Most Westerners would be very surprised to discover its contents. Instead we remain willfully deaf, internalizing the doublethink our political leaders require of us." This text is repeated, copy/paste error?
