This is an excellent sweep through the reality of today's Iran. I doubt any U.S. officials in charge of Iran policy over the last 15 years could offer such a balanced, thoughtful analysis.

Your criticisms of current affairs in America are well-founded. If she doesn't wake up and course-correct, she might find herself in a similar situation to that of Iran. The upcoming election will determine whether she can regain the lead on the world stage to help effect positive change or whether she continues the downward spiral into decay, decadence, division, and destruction.

Interesting. There is a huge move of God in Iran. Many Iranians are giving up their belief in Islam for a belief in Jesus and paying the price. They are arrested, imprisoned, tortured and often exiled away from family and friends. They are sentenced to classes in Islamic indoctrination.

The US had enabled the regime to fund all the proxies too. And develop nuclear weapons. Playing nice with a nasty godless regime never pays off. They want domination and the spread of Islam.

Iran is a great example of The People seeking more freedom from what they perceived as an oppressor (the Shah) and ending up with a much worse bully who takes away all freedoms (the mullahs). A cautionary tale for us all, especially as the US political class, particularly the Democrats, sells us on purportedly more benefits in exchange for giving up more of our freedom. “Progress” isn’t always a good thing. And “Security” is paid for with a reduction in freedom.
